Terms of Service

1. The service

Corpus helps users organize financial information, view portfolio data, and receive educational analysis. Features may include document imports, portfolio tools, calculators, and AI-assisted explanations.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract to use Corpus. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify us of unauthorized account activity.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for ensuring that you have the right to provide any information or documents you submit.

3. Educational information, not advice

Information provided by Corpus is general and educational. It is not investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice and is not a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any security or financial product.

Financial markets involve risk, including possible loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You remain responsible for your decisions and should consult appropriately qualified professionals before acting.

4. Gmail-connected features

If you choose to connect Gmail, Corpus uses read-only access to import supported statements and generate user-facing financial or activity insights from relevant messages. Corpus does not use that access to send, modify, or delete email. You may disconnect Gmail at any time.

Our collection and use of information through Gmail is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. AI-generated output

Some features use AI systems. AI-generated content may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You must independently verify any information that could affect a financial or legal decision. Corpus does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated output.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use Corpus unlawfully or to infringe another person’s rights;
• attempt to access another user’s account or non-public systems;
• interfere with service operation, security, or rate limits;
• introduce malicious code or attempt to probe or reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it;
• misrepresent Corpus output as professional or regulated advice; or
• use automated means to extract data from Corpus without our written permission.

7. Ownership and feedback

You retain ownership of information and documents you provide. You grant Corpus a limited licence to host, process, reproduce, and transmit them only as needed to operate and improve the service, comply with law, and protect the service.

Corpus and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, and related intellectual property. If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation.

8. Availability and changes

Corpus is currently an early-stage service. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, impose limits, or perform maintenance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent storage of information. Keep independent copies of important financial records.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Corpus at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, or misuse the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corpus is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corpus Labs Private Limited and its directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or investment losses arising from your use of or inability to use Corpus.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Corpus Labs Private Limited against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of Corpus, your breach of these Terms, or content you submit.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts of competent jurisdiction in India will have jurisdiction, subject to any dispute-resolution rights you may have under applicable law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service or applicable law changes. We will post the revised Terms here and update the effective date. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
